It is heartbreaking, yesterday’s massive thunderstorms, golf-ball sized hail and high winds have impacted every single plant in my garden that I’ve worked so incredibly hard in since March. My best guess is that about 60% will live but only time will tell, some are already dead.
the plants that got the worst of it: 1. Herbs. Completely decimated. 2. Peppers, the hour if hail damage they took shredded the leaves, I might have only 1-2 jalepenos left... 3. Green, lettuces, plants closer to the ground 4. Turnips. They’re gone. 5. Carrots - not sure they will make it but fingers are crossed 6. Tomatoes - I’ve had to throw away several. The bugger more mature ones should make it 7. Potatoes - lots of damage to the leaves 8. Eggplant. I don’t think they will make it We will see where things end up. I’m hopeful that pieces of the garden will survive.

I thought you could move the plants inside with the buckets. What happened?

The storms hit hard and fast, there wasn’t even supposed to be a 15% chance of rain that day and by the time it hit there is no way to bring in the 200+ plants I have. Many will make it through but all were damaged, some won’t make it - that’s life I suppose.
