The nighttime temps have been in the 30’s, we’re at the end-end of the season... Alex and I are winding down our home garden and the gardens we maintain at our local community gardens, though there are still plenty of tomatoes to pick. Much of the produce that we harvest at the community garden is being donated to a local organization called, “Grow and Give Colorado,” which coordinates the delivery and donation of fresh produce to local food banks, soup kitchens and homeless shelters. The freakish weather we had last month, seeing temperatures go from over 100-degrees to 22-degrees with several inches of snow in a single day in early September, have killed and harmed many plants in the garden and though we bit off a bit more than we would probably want to do next year, I can’t underscore how important the garden has been to my personal recovery. We started everything by seed in April and have been enjoying the fruits of that effort all season long.

Happy to report that the entire Buell Gang has had our annual flu shots :-)
We are living in some pretty uncertain times and all-in-all 2020 has been a pretty tough year for everyone - hoping that this flu season is mild, that we all get through the COVID-19 scariness, the election uncertainty clears up and economy lifts off and we can manage to get life back on track! Keep positive!!! |
