In September of 1999, Tony Sneed (aka Sneedo) and Kyle Aiman accompanied me to Ensenada, Mexico in the Baja (Dane and Bob could not make the trip). We celebrated both Kyle and Sneedo’s birthday a few days before the trip.
We drove through the Arizona desert, the California sand dunes and crossed the border into Tijuana, then making our trek to Ensenada, hugging the coast line, huge cliffs and the forever visible Pacific Ocean out the passenger window. We stopped for lunch in Rosarito - for $4 each we got so much food (rice, beans, vegetables, sizzling seafood, chicken and beef fajitas, tortilla soup, sopapillas, chips, salsa, tortillas, drinks, etc. We sat on top of a rickety old roof eating our feast looking out at the Pacific Ocean - the song, “A Horse with No Name,” played on the speakers and I unwinded and relaxed to the tones and treasures of Mexico. Several years later, shortly after passing through the area again with Eric Ingram, the entire Rosarito police force was murdered and their heads put on pikes on the beach to send a signal from the cartels who operate in the area (or so I’m told) - I’ve been to Ensenada several times, but even though it is beautiful and I never felt unsafe, I don’t think I would go back - the risks seem to outweigh the rewards. It was a fun, beautiful trip with two of my long-time buddies and I will always treasure it!

I use ChatGPT daily and have been studying artificial intelligence as it is poised to rapidly and assuredly change our world in the coming days, weeks and months (not years and decades like others are saying).
I will ultimately sit down and record a podcast about my thoughts on where artificial intelligence is going, where we are today in the meta verse and some of the good and not so good things to watch out for, so stay tuned for that! I was a prolific website/blogger back in the late 90’s and early to mid 2000’s. Social media and a variety of other things drew me away from having a personal website, but I’ve always wanted to get back into it. I’ve had several false-starts and the web is scattered with partial website that I’ve built over the past decade-plus, but it is 2023 and maybe this is the time - will give it my best, thank you for visiting and showing support!
