Dan Buell | Water Media Artist
Dan Buell is a water media artist and a student of art history. Inspired by Impressionists and Post-Impressionists as well as active watercolorists and artists of other mediums who are known for their usage of color, Dan’s work is evocative, interpretive, and thematically focused on mountain landscapes and wildlife. Dan has sold over 100-pieces, which adorn walls and office buildings across four continents. Art critics and followers take note of Dan’s tonality, texture, color theory and unique perspectives of the world that surrounds him. An art scholar and collector, Dan has visited over one-hundred art museums across the globe where he has served as a Board Member, patron, advisor and special curator. Dan has studied the art of many artists of various eras and has learned and worked side by side with many modern masters, most notably, his good friend and mentor, Buffalo Kaplinski. An avid art collector and participant in the Colorado art scene, Dan’s diverse collection includes many works from artists such as Buffalo Kaplinski, Erin Hanson, and Raoul Dufy.
